A garden that feeds the body… and grows values
At Fundación Anepal we keep planting opportunities for our children, and this time we've done it literally: we've built our own vegetable garden inside the orphanage. What began as a small empty rooftop space is today full of life, colour, and hope.
There we grow spinach, tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, and other vegetables that will become part of the children's daily meals. Thanks to this garden, we can offer fresher, healthier food at no additional cost.
But this project goes far beyond producing food. The children themselves are responsible for the garden: they water it, clear it, plant it, learn to wait for nature's own timing, and light up at every new shoot. Through this work they develop fundamental values — cooperation, responsibility, and commitment to the foundation's projects.
Every seed sown becomes a lesson in effort. Every shared task strengthens teamwork. Every harvest celebrated builds their self-esteem and their sense of belonging.
This garden is at once an educational tool, a source of sustainable food, and a place where dreams, learning, and the future can bloom.
Thanks to the support of everyone who believes in our mission, today we don't only feed bodies… we also cultivate values that will last a lifetime.
